OFA Policy Advisory Committee Description

The Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) is meant to provide grassroots input to the OFA Board of Directors, on policy and other items they are working on.

PAC meets on average about 4 times a year. In 2016 PAC met in February, April, August and October.

At PAC meetings, the PAC members are updated on current happenings at the OFA level from the board and staff. On occasion, there are guest speakers that come to inform PAC on important topics. For example, in 2016 there was a presentation from MPAC speaking on the forth coming MPAC assessments. There is also a time for County Concerns where each PAC member has an opportunity bring up issues or concerns from your county.

OFA sends out information on the items that will be discussed prior to each meeting, it is expected each PAC member reviews this before the meeting and is ready to discuss the topic. Often the PAC delegates will be asked to break into groups to talk about topics than provide a summary at the end of the break out session.

The PAC members than need to bring back the issues from the meeting to their county federations.

PAC members are provided with a per diem and reimbursed for mileage by the OFA.
