Farmers and rural landowners impacted by changes to private railway crossings

Changes and improvements to private crossings will be determined based on guidelines and decisions made by the railway company operating the rail line on that property and Transport Canada. By not complying with the guidelines, farmers and landowners’ risk restricted access to their crossing, making it challenging to utilize both sides of their land.

OFA was thrilled to have young delegates (including our VP, Darcy Fuller) from across Ontario join us for meetings with MPPs and staff at Queen’s Park to discuss economic growth and opportunities for the agri-food sector and our rural communities.

Morgan Murphy of Lambton won 1st place in the Proud to Farm category and the Farmers’ Choice Award, based on member voting online and at the 2018 Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show. Morgan receives a drone and a cash prize for these wins.
