LFA along with the Lambton Cattlemen donated hamburgers to the Canada Day Celebration in Alvinston, July 1st, 2006.

The celebration was headed by Elmer and Jeannette Douglas and a very enthusiastic committee. They thought of every­thing and offered activities for every mem­ber of the family, free of charge.

Heather Douglas was MC for the opening ceremonies. She introduced Mayor Don McGugan  and  MPP Maria Van Bommel, Lambton-Kent-Middlesex,  who spoke briefly.

Michelle  Dumont  sang O Canada, half in English and half in French. About 1,000 hamburgers and hot dogs were donated, prepared and served, free of charge, to those attending by the Lambton Cattlemen’s Association and The Lambton Federation of Agriculture.

There was also free lemonade and birthday cake for all to enioy. Snow-cones were also served.
