cc: Lambton County Councillors and Managers,

The Lambton Federation of Agriculture would like to thank County Councillors and Staff for allowing us to the have input on the proposed draft of the new woodlands by-law. We appreciate your openness to consultation and cooperation with groups such as ours during this process and believe it shows a deep commitment to creating a fair, workable bylaw for the residents and landowners of Lambton.

Due to on-going concerns with the current proposed draft of the by-law and confusion surrounding a motion tabled at the March 5th Lambton County Council Sessions the LFA has passed a motion to cease with any further discussions with County staff on changes to the draft woodlot bylaw at this time.

Further to that The Lambton Federation of Agriculture supports the motion (which was tabled by Lambton County Council on March 5th 2014) to return to the existing bylaw (either 2002 or 2012 version) and are willing to work with County “on any needed minor changes”.

We appreciate your time and look forward to working together in the future.

Sincerely,

~Brooke Leystra~
President, Lambton Federation of Agriculture
