We are nearing the end of summer, children will be back to school soon, and busses will be running. Fall is coming quickly, but there are lots of Lambton County events to enjoy before the warm weather leaves us.

Lambton County is the host for the Ontario Cattlemen’s 6th annual Cow Calf Roadshow on September 4 & 5th. If you are interested in attending, Contact the Ontario Cattlemen’s Association at 1- 866-370-2333

A fun event for the entire family to attend is the Lambton County Plowing Match which will be held on Saturday, August 31th at the farm of Mark Williams 8619 Egremont Road in Warwick Township. You will see youth to seniors showing off their plowing skills along with many antique tractors and plows and maybe even a horse team.

Students attending college or university this fall should check out our website for scholarship opportunities. There are seven different scholarships given out yearly. The criteria and application forms can be found on www.lfawebsite.ca and the deadline is October 30th. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to help fund your education.

The Lambton AgLink newsletter is now up and running! The first issue was well received and full of great Lambton County information. If you would like to receive this monthly newsletter, contact the LFA office or email [email protected]. To submit events or updates, email [email protected].
