‘Pitching In – How to Move Credible Farm Voices into Mainstream Media’

It’s a “Just google it” world — how do we get accurate and fair depictions of farming and food in the top 10 search results of Google? One way is to ensure dependable resources and sources are available to mainstream media. How do we make that happen? Lyndsey Smith will share what makes media tick and how the farm and food sector can use this to their advantage, plus she’ll offer tips on becoming a go-to resource, and have the audience tune up their best good-news-story pitches.

And of course the 2016 Agricultural Hall of Fame inductees and Scholarship awards!

The Lambton Youth Choir

The Lambton Youth Choir (lambtonyouthchoir.ca) is a community choir of young people who strive to provide joy, comfort, and inspiration for others while sharing themselves through their music. The Choir was founded in June, 1994, by four Lambton County educators who envisioned a choral program to showcase the talents of dedicated young people. Directors are Ruth Brown, Diane ODell, Heather Robson, & Debbie Wellington.

This year’s Choir features thirty-five girls from grades four through twelve from nine different communities in Lambton and Middlesex Counties. In this 2016-17 performance season we are also pleased to welcome Marta Madsen from Denmark and Maena Fenix from Switzerland – guests of the Meeder Family.

Performances throughout the past twenty-two years have included hundreds of local, national, and international events; however, the ‘hometown crowd’ is always the favorite!  We are honoured to be included in tonight’s 75th anniversary to the Lambton Federation of Agriculture.

Come and Celebrate our 75th Anniversary with us – Nov 2016!
