Global Business Opportunities

When it comes to international trade and investment, Sarnia-Lambton is competing with much larger markets. That is why the Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce joined forces with the City of Sarnia, City of London and London Chamber of Commerce to promote the Highway 402 region as a place to invest and to explore overseas export opportunities.

To lead the initiative, a Global Business Opportunities Committee (GBOC) was formed. Though still in its early stages, the committee is a mix of private and public sector representatives that are working together to help move Sarnia-Lambton businesses along the “exporter continuum”. Their task is to generate interest in exporting opportunities by facilitating education, communication and networking opportunities.

Ultimately, the committee wants to generate new business, new investment or economic development in the region.
