Locally Lambton Farm Map!

Lambton Federation of Agriculture is pleased to announce that the “Locally Lambton Food and Fun Map” 2008 edition is in circulation.  The map will assist the public in locating businesses in Lambton where they can buy locally produced items.

The map not only shows locations of farm markets, but farmers who sell products straight to the consumer.  The map contains full information about each business. Products include fruits, vegetables, poultry & meats, herbs, maple syrup, honey, cider, and baked goods.  As well as the edibles, there are locations for alpaca farms, yarns, flowers & greenhouses, rustic twig furniture, camps, petting zoos, corn mazes, bed & breakfast homes and local fairs.

Both tourists and local residents will find the map useful to assist them as they travel the back roads. There will be signs featuring the same “Locally Lambton” logo that appears on the map at all the participating farmers’ gates.

The map will certainly be beneficial in promoting on-farm sales, and encouraging the public and tourists to shop locally and hopefully benefit rural Lambton’s economy.

The map, designed by Stokes Advertising & Promotions, a business located in Petrolia, is on high-quality glossy paper and features an array of colourful photos depicting fruits, vegetables and other farm scenes.   Sponsors along with the Federation of Agriculture include the County of Lambton Community Health Services Department, Sarnia-Lambton Business Development Corporation, Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce, Libro Credit Union Limited, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Township of Enniskillen, Township of Brooke-Alvinston, Township of St. Clair, Township of Warwick and Stokes Advertising & Promotions.

Lambton Federation is also pleased to host a website which includes all the information off the map.  The website for the map is www.locallylambton.com.  If your business missed advertising on the 2008 edition of the map and you would be interested in a spot on the website map, please contact the Lambton Federation for more information.

For copies of the map, you can visit your local Library, Sarnia Tourism, your municipal office, any of the participants on the map, Stokes Advertising & Promotions or contact the LFA Secretary Brenda Miner at 519-828-5028 or [email protected] .
