As you are aware, there has been a few alarming developments provincially with respect to peaceful protests that have escalated to trespassing, break-ins, theft of farm property and physical harassment.  Experience has shown the Police cannot respond to trespassers in a timely manner, and are reluctant to lay charges. The Crown is also withdrawing charges before trial. This is emboldening the activists.

While our individual commodity groups, farm associations and Farm and Food Care are offering suggestions to fight these issues, we feel this is also something we need to get together  to help the appropriate people feel, and see how difficult this is making work/home and farm life for us.

We would like to invite two representatives from your organization to a roundtable meeting on:

Wednesday May 22
7:30pm

Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS)
339 Centre Street, Petrolia

  • Enter through front double doors, down staircase on the left, first room at the bottom of the stairs on the left. Parking in rear of building.

We realize this is short notice, but hope that you can attend. Please RSVP to Christina at [email protected].

Thank you for your support,

~Christina Hyatt~
