The Lambton Farm Safety Association wants all properties in the county to be identified by 9-1-1 municipal addressing to assist first responders.

Association members Don McCabe and George Dickenson raised the issue of missing or vacant signage during county council’s meeting this month.

The association, which is a part of the Lambton Federation of Agriculture, is requesting that municipalities raise the issue with their residents to get the necessary signage.

Dickenson said the association is also asking for the County Roads Department to continue to monitor the “caution slow moving vehicle” signs that are around and replace them when needed.

“Also if we had a contact to notify if we see any signs that are not in good repair this would help keep them fresh,” said Dickenson.
