Hello to everyone. This is a short president report for the past year as some of you know Debbie Coke was at the helm of LFA until October when Debbie had a career change that also led her to stepping down from LFA. Iwould like to thank Debbie for all the work she has done for LFA in the past and wish her well on new adventures in life.

Good Turn out at the BDO day in December 2006

There are a few of the things we did this year starting with BDO days in December and we participated in the Podolinsky days (even the snow didn’t keep our members at home).  We hosted our OFA president Geri Kamenz in April and we started the tour in Thedford at the apple orchard of Twin Pines Orchards & Cider House where we had our first round table discussion of the day.  We proceeded to Kucera Farm supply in Alvinston for stop number two, followed by stop three at Southwest Ag Partner at Rutherford and finished the tour in St Clair Twp at the farms of Doug and Dave McGee and Derrek and Bert Vandendool.

We also hosted our annual spring meeting with the commodity groups in April and the MP and MPP’s.

We took our display board to all 5 Lambton area fairs. One more highlight was meeting that Pat Davidson’s office organized with the federal Ag Minster in November for a round table discussion.

These are just some of the things that happen thru the year.  We are looking for new members to sit on the board so please give serious thought to joining the board.   f you are interested, please let me know.
