Second Year Federal Bridge Funding:
- Producers enrolled in NISA in 2002 were automatically considered. AAFC advises, cheques were mailed last week of November. Those that have not received a cheque should call the NISA Administration at 1-800-665-6472
- Producers not enrolled in NISA had until December 31, 2003 to submit an application to apply.
Second Year Provincial Bridge Funding
- No details to report.
- Minister Peters made a comment during the APF signing press conference that would suggest Ontario will provide this funding.
BSE Recovery Program (Phase 3b)
- Producers enrolled in NISA were automatically considered. Cheques were sent out during the week of October 6th.
- Producers not enrolled in NISA had until December 31, 2003 to submit an application to apply.
Cull Animal Program
- Federal Program’s announcement
- Numbers are based on Ontario providing 40% of the funding.
- Ontario may use an amount equal to 40% to fund other BSE initiatives.
- No announcement on Ontario decision yet.
- OMAF has agreed to deliver program on behalf of AAFC. Applications are not yet available.
CAIS Program

- OMAF will deliver CAIS to Ontario producers.
- Program contact number will be 1-877-838-5144.
- Applications are not available yet, but those in NISA will receive correspondence on new program.
Self-Directed Risk Management
- Previous Ag Minister asked AGRICORP to research how it could deliver SDRM (given NSIA wind down).
- No details yet on how AGRICORP would deliver SDRM.
