  • Enrolled in the 2nd or more year of ANY post-secondary program at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Tips for completing the Application:

  • Have all of your documents ready before starting the application. You can not save and return.
  • Reach out to a director should you have any questions. Directors and information is on the Contacts page.
  • You need to have a valid FBR number located in Lambton County, but you do not need to be an LFA member.

  • Have you been a recipient of an LFA scholarship in the past? If so which one? This does not disqualify you from future scholarships, it is simply a tracking question for the LFA.

  • Describe the Program you are/will be enrolled in and why you chose it.
  • What are your future plans and objectives once you complete your program, and how do they tie in to your current farming experiences?
  • Describe any community interests, activities or groups you are involved in and why. How will these activities help you achieve your goals in the future?
  • Describe and discuss one issue that the LFA has been involved in recently. Hint: you can reach out to a current director.
  • Describe experiences and responsibilities on your family farm or other farms you have worked on. How does these experiences translate into 'real world skills'?
  • What do you think farming in Lambton County will look like in 10 years? What is one major change you would like to see?
