Petrolia, Ontario – Lambton Federation of Agriculture Membership Thankful for Collaborative Rural Internet Projects
On behalf of the membership of the Lambton Federation of Agriculture we would like to thank the Ontario Government and Lambton County Council for partnering with Southwestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) and Canada’s Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN) to bring our rural areas quality broadband internet.
Their recognition of this issue, which affects our community advancement, and their rapid intervention will lead to important improvements and impacts to our rural areas.
We look forward to watching our community grow and thrive with the implementation of the SWIFT and CENGN projects.

Overview of the SWIFT Approved Projects in Lambton County:
Brooke Telecom is bringing fibre broadband service to approximately 530 premises throughout rural portions of Enniskillen and Brooke-Alvinston. Service will be available by late 2022. Cogeco is bringing fibre broadband service to the communities of Babys Point, Port Lambton, Sombra, Wilkesport, Avonry, Mooretown, and Brigden throughout St. Clair Township. The various portions of the project will provide over 1,700 premises with high-speed internet service by the end of 2021. Execulink is bringing fibre broadband service to around 1,000 premises throughout an extensive portion of Lambton Shores surrounding Highland Glen. Service will be available by the end of 2021. Execulink is bringing fibre broadband service to roughly 900 premises throughout the entirety of the Kettle and Stony Point First Nation and to approximately 100 cottages and homes in neighbouring Lambton Shores. Service will be available by the end of 2020. Execulink is bringing fibre broadband service to approximately 200 premises throughout an extensive rural area surrounding Thedford in former Bosanquet Township. Service will be available by the end of 2021.
