I am pleased to provide this letter of support on behalf of Lambton Federation of Agriculture to nominate Carolynne Griffith for the Farm & Food Care Champion Award.
Carolynne has been an active Lambton County resident her whole life. She was raised on a dairy/horse farm in Sarnia Township and then married Art Griffith an egg farmer from Alvinston.
Carolynne has been instrumental in the agriculture sector. She has supported many farm organizations in Lambton County and Provincially. She was Chair for the Egg Farmers of Ontario for many years and was active in Farm & Food Care. She has supported many fundraisers in the area and promoted agriculture to many.
In 2014, she sponsored a play at the Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia called “Fiddler on the Loose 2” to commemorate 2014 being named the International Year of Family Farming. She organized an event at the Playhouse to promote family farming. It was a great event bringing many organizations and family farms together.
Lambton County Federation whole-heartedly supports Carolynne for the Champion Award and is thankful for Carolynne and her energy she has brought to agriculture in Lambton County.
