Re: Seeking sponsor for Lambton Map
A number of local community members, producers and organizations partnered to initiate the development of a Locally Lambton map in 2008 that supported and facilitated the concept of buying locally in Lambton. The Lambton Federation is looking at printing a 2010 version in early spring.
The map supports many purposes. The objectives for producing this map are to:
- Provide support for the local farmers by connecting consumers to local primary producers
- Promote the importance of purchasing local produce to reduce environmental footprints
- Help Lambton residents increase their vegetable and fruit consumption as well as promote physical activity through Pick-Your-Own farms that would help improve their health status
Farmers who wish to have their farms listed on the map will pay a nominal fee to offset some of the printing costs. The map includes road names that connect to farm gates with addresses, emails, web sites and a list of some of the produce carried by the farm as well as produce seasonality.
The goal this year is to print a minimum of 20,000 to 25,000 maps and distribute them within Lambton County.
The funds for this project are limited and therefore we are asking you to consider sponsoring this exciting local community initiative.
In the past, the following guidelines were used for donations:
Platinum $1,000.00 – Logo will be included on the map
- Website address will be included on the map
- Name will be included in press releases
- Sponsor will be recognized in Lambton Federation Newsletter
Gold $500-$999 – Logo will be included on the map
- Name will be included in press releases
- Sponsor will be recognized in Lambton Federation newsletter
Silver $100 – $499 – Name will be included in press releases
- Sponsor will be recognized in Lambton Federation newsletter
